Cuppa Coffee Studios hired Kohn Partnership Architects to design a two-storey addition to an animation studio located in an existing industrial building in one of Toronto’s first manufacturing neighbourhoods -- the Junction. Wanting to modernize the renovation, the exterior of the new addition is clad in dark corrugated steel as contemporary design juxtaposition to the original brick. The interior flex space is designed with simple finishes and a focus on access to light and clear site lines with internal access to the old and new. The new office space will accommodate both animation and administrative programming.
