Harry Kohn 

Partner, BArch, OAA, MRAIC

 

A founding Partner of Kohn Partnership Architects Inc., Harry Kohn has over 40 years of experience in the architectural profession. Harry has served as the Partner in Charge for a wide-range of project types including residential, commercial, and mixed-use and has a specific aptitude for planning and development. Harry’s ability to “connect” with his clients has won him a significant and reputable list of repeat clients. Harry has directed several of the firms’ significant projects including the Robert Watson Lofts, which won Honourable Mention for the 2011 Toronto Urban Design Awards.

Katie Kuzan 

Senior Associate, BAS (Hons), MArch, OAA

Katie Kuzan joined the firm in 2012, proving herself an integral project team member on many of Kohn Partnership’s most significant projects. In the studio, Katie is invaluable as Manager of our BIM/Revit resources and mentor to our staff. Outside of the office, Katie is frequently invited as a guest critic to both the University of Waterloo Architecture Program and the Ontario College of Art and Design University. Katie’s unprecedented level of client service and project delivery have made her instrumental in the firm.

Kathryn Bell

With over five years of professional experience, Kathryn has experience in a variety of different project types including institutional, industrial, commercial and residential. This broad range of projects has given Kathryn a wide knowledge-base allowing her to understand the various nuances of the construction process. Notably, Kathryn is also a strong advocate of sustainable design and has worked on many 'green' projects including several for the Town of Milton.

Brandon Kupers brings a versatile skill-set of talents to our team. Now based in Ottawa, he leads a number of our projects across Canada, drawing on over 11 years of professional experience in a variety of sectors including commercial, retail, institutional and residential projects.

Sean Lawrence 

Partner, AA Dip, LEED AP (BD+C)

 

In almost 40 years of practice, Sean has designed a diverse portfolio of award-winning projects, including the Remington Centre, and The Robert Watson Lofts. Projects that he has designed have received numerous design awards including the OAA Award of Excellence, Urban Design & Heritage Awards from the City of Toronto, the Financial Times Award for Industrial Architecture, and a RIBA Regional Award from the Royal Institute of British Architects. Sean takes a particular interest in the development of the urban fabric of the city and has recently served as a member of the Advisory Board of the Urban Land Institute - Toronto.

Paul Tang 

Senior Associate, Dip Arch Tech, AScT

​

With over 20 years of industry experience, Paul has handled most of the firms’ contract administration, acting as primary liaison and communicator with contractors during the construction stages of our projects. Paul’s knowledge of building science technologies and high standard for quality control has earned him a strong reputation among trades and consultants. Paul is currently the Project Manager for the Remington Centre project in Markham – a 1,000,000sf shopping mall.

Marianna de Cola 

Associate, BAS (HONS), MArch, OAA, MRAIC

 

Marianna de Cola completed her Masters of Architecture at the University of Waterloo and has been working with Kohn Partnership Architects Inc. since 2011. Prior to joining the firm, Marianna has been involved in a number of projects, both local and international, ranging in scale and scope from interior design to urban design. Marianna continues to be involved in the academic world, recently holding the appointment of Design Studio Professor at Humber College and Adjunct Professor at the University of Waterloo. Marianna has also been an acting design critic at various schools including the University of Waterloo, University of Toronto and OCAD.

Andrew Muffitt 

Partner, BES, BArch, OAA, LEED AP

 

As a Partner at Kohn Partnership Architects Inc., Andrew Muffitt has taken the lead on many of the firms’ most successful projects. Known for his technical approach, Andrew’s continual pursuit of exceptional project delivery has set a clear example for staff within the practice and gained the respect of Clients, Consultants, and Municipal Officials. He plays an active role in overseeing drawing production and has a great deal of experience navigating many aspects of building constructability.

Andrea Nagy

A licensed architect, Andrea Nagy joined Kohn Partnership Architects in November of 2015 - bringing experience in mixed-use, residential, commercial, transit, institutional, and hospitality projects. By understanding the importance of establishing and maintaining quality and long-lasting relationships with clients, contractors, and other consultants in the industry, Andrea has cultivated a thoughtful and detail-oriented design approach that aims to ensure project goals are routinely met and exceeded.

Stephanie van Es

Associate, BTech.(Arch. Sci.)

With 19 years of professional experience Stephanie has worked in Toronto on various interior, commercial, residential, and institutional projects for both new construction and renovation projects. At Kohn, Stephanie is a member of the team that produces many of the office’s concept design, site plan approval, building permit and construction drawing sets. Stephanie also acts as project manager and designer for many of her projects.

Margaret Shang 

Associate, MArch, BES

 

Margaret Shang joined Kohn Partnership Architects in 2011 with a degree in both Architecture and Urban Planning. This background has provided Margaret with an added advantage in development-based projects which enables her to successfully navigate through complicated development issues. Margaret takes the lead on the majority of the firms’ stacked townhome developments and has become a resource for this specific building type within the office, in addition to her experience in dealing with unique and difficult urban infill sites.
